Can you really spend a whole day at Animal Kingdom?

DH and I spent an entire day (morning extra magic hour included) at the park and still had to go back one morning. True we did not have a 2 yr. old. But, I do not like rides, so I might be like a 2 yr old. Not only are the stage shows great, but the performers in the street (especially Divine and musicians over by Tusker House) are also very entertaining.

We found the AK to be the most relaxing, enjoyable park.

I love AK!

Last time we went (First week of January) we had early morning ADR's at RFC for breakfast and we stayed the ENTIRE day and still did not do/see everything. I would have loved to have another day there! BTW, our DS is 3 1/2. We were not able to do a lot of the things I had hoped to do because we just ran out of time.

I loved animal kingdom! you can spend forever looking at some of the animals! I spent the whole day there, but I rode mostly everything. I also saw Devine and waited in line to see some of the characters.

AK has really grown on me. I was disappointed in it when we first started going there. But now that they have added ExEv I like it a lot more. I'm also looking forward to seeing the Nemo show next time down. We could spend a day there -albeit it's usually a short day for us (done by 3-4PM)

I'm stunned by people who say they've "done it all" in half a day. It makes me wonder what they consider "all". I've been to AK several times and I have yet to do it "all". :confused3

A 2 year old will slow you down but will also restrict you in the rides you can see. You can still make a whole day out of AK especially if you hit all the shows and take your time on the trails.

We're big park hoppers and usually only spend a half day at AK. We do go back a couple times throughout our stay to do our "favorite" things in the park. MY DD loves the boneyard and we spend a good deal of out time in there. It's a good place for her to play while one of us uses our fastpass for EE.

When i Go to AK i usually end up doing everything in about 4 or 5 hrs or so Im not a big " show " person so thats one reason also im a big park hopper so i usually get there at opening then arond 12or 1 hop to another park for a while then comeback later and do anything i missed again or wait till day 2 if the lines are long although for a small child EE and Dinosaur are probally OUT( :scared: ) so your lines wont be as bad:upsidedow

We are big AK lovers. We always spend a least a day and a half there. Not to mention, we love to eat at Flametree, so we try to hit that for lunch at least twice on any given trip.

Crowds can make a big difference on if you can do a half day or not. If you are going at a busy time you might have to spend an entire day there to do it all.

Before we had kids dh and I would do AK by 1:00. Now that we have kids we can easily spend a whole day there. We spent an entire day there last trip and still missed many things. There are a lot of fun things there for kids to do. Things you don't necessarily think will take a lot of time. My dd loves looking at the flowers, and animals. She would spend all day at the playground if I let her.

We always make AK a full day plus another when possible each trip. There are many attractions that we enjoy, shows, and rides. Also there are many areas of the park just to nose around in taking our time needling around.
Flametree is a special spot for eating and we try to hit there at least twice during our trips.

we usually spend about 1.5 days there. I'm a zoo guy and love the exhibitsat the park and enjoy conservation station as well. Its nicely done. If you don't care about zoos, its not really a full day park yet

At our first visit to AK we spent 4 days there. True, there are not as many attractions as at the other parks.
But we enjoyed the atmosphere there a lot.
Take your time. Relax. Enjoy the nature.
For example, we talked to a CM about the Rinos for over 1 Hour. We learned a lot!
So many visitors go to AK.. do the 4 biggest attraction and say:
Hey, you just need a half day.
For us AK was the most beautiful themed and MOST themed park of all.
If you take time, you can see many beautiful hidden details there. No other park has such combination of attraction, fun and relaxing.
Sure - if you only do the major attractions - you need a half day.
But if you want to expierience the whole park with all its charme... you need a lot more time
