A teacher showed us this in high school and I thought it was so cool that I began to read about cognition, specifically perception. I ended up minoring in cognitive neuroscience in college and did research on perception (face recognition).

I do remember a friend of mine who was dyslexic and she also had a difficult time understanding what it said. It took her a bit longer and she was shocked most people read could it with ease.

I felt that way in math, when I relied on her superior mathematical ability, lol.

I just showed the paragraph to my husband who has dyslexia and he could not read it. He said that it was almost like the letters were changing as he was trying to make sense of it.

I was able to read it with no problem.

I wonder if anyone else out there who has dyslexia can comment on this.

I have dyslexia and I had no problem reading it.

I have no problem reading it.

I learned to sight read at 3. I always sucked at phonics or sounding out words. (probably more due to some speech/auditory processing problems). I can't spell very well at all.


You'd think this would mess me trying to read words that are not correct in a whole form, but nope....the brain is a strange and curious thing.
