Can you buy these upon check in or do you have to order from Member Services?

Do you need to show DVC cards? (Kids don't have cards?)

Thanks for info!

You can get passes at Guest Relations at parks and DTD only or order a voucher from MS. Will still need to go to Guest Relations at above location with DVC card and valid ID for anyone over 18 and nothing for anyone under 18 to activate vouchers or buy AP.

you can get it in the parks or DD.

got told last time - that includes in the ticket booths and guest services. just have everything ready.

you need to say DVC member a couple of times and show your DVC member card. (not your resort ID)

also will need your driver license to check on your address.

Is there any way to purchase Disneyland Annual Passes with the DVC discount prior to arriving at the park?

What do you mean you need to stay DVC a couple of times?

You can purchase your AP's with DVC discount via the Disney Website. You will print out a voucher which you will trade in at Guest relations for your AP. You will need your DVC card & Photo ID when you turn in the voucher. You can also do this at the International Gateway at EPCOT.
You AP year doesn't start until you enter a park with the pass.
We buy ours with our Disney Visa card to get the rewards points.

We will be visiting Disneyland in June and would like to upgrade our give a day passes to the DVC annual pass. How can I do that?

Actually, I don't think this is true. If you get a voucher, the use year doesn't start until you trade the voucher for a live pass. However, when you get a live pass, no matter whether it's by trading in a voucher or buying it outright at guest services, the date is printed on the back and your use year starts that day.

Slightly off topic....

I remember reading something about the annual passes being good for 15 months from the time of first use. Is this true or was this some "special" promotion that Disney had going on?

Thanks,

Evan

I agree. Some people who arrive late in the day like to get it taken care of that evening. The year will start then, not when they enter the park the next day.

That is for renewals only and ends this August. New APs are only good for 12 months.

My understanding is that you need to go to the ticket booth or guest relations. Present your Gad GADD voucher and ID, ask to upgrade to a DVC AP and show your DVC card. If you have never been a DL AP recently, you will also need to go the AP center in DL or DCA to have a photo taken. -- Suzanne

Can you just go directly to the AP center or do you have to stand in line at the ticket booth and then go to the AP center. It would be nice to avoid the ticket booth lines.

You are correct... I'm thinking of Park Happer & Multi Day Passes... they start the moment you use. Anyways... when we turn in our voucher & get our AP's we go right in a Park afterwards.

The AP Center at DL is inside the park so you need a ticket to get in.

Here's one for ya.

I'm gonna go to the guest relations at Epcot in 2 weeks and say the following.

"I have 5 unused 1 day tickets from last year. I also have 375 Disney dollars on my Disney Visa, and I am also a DVC member so I'll want that discount as well on 5 Annual passes please."

What are the chances I'll get a CM that can make sense of this and get it right the first time?

You should have no problem doing that. Everyone should use the 1 day passes to enter the park, then go to guest services and tell them you want to upgrade the tickets to DVC annual passes. Once they tell you how much it is tell them you want to use your Disney dollars toward the purchase and give them a credit card (or cash) for the rest.
