Can you pick a trundle bed in POR still?

The Unofficial Guide 2014 lists a trundle bed in the Alligator Bayou POR rooms. I thought I've read here that they are all Murphy beds. But, I'm wondering if maybe we can request a trundle still instead.

When they did the refurb of the rooms they moved the trundle off the floor. So it now folds down from the stand below the tv. I don't think the size of the bed changed. And I'm not sure if they even have the trundles anymore.

There is no space under the 2 queen beds - so, no where a trundle would go. (Does that make sense? For example, you can't lose things underneath the bed - they stop at a solid 'wall' that the boxspring sits on.)

There is just the fold down murphy type (small) bed, or a pack 'n play of course.

HTH.

Thanks to both of you. I wonder why the book isn't updated on this. I hope there aren't many more errors in it.

That is why it is called "Unofficial." It is their disclaimer.

If you had gone to the POR thread, you would find the latest info, including pics of the new murphy beds.

Sure, I get that, but I also assume things are right, or what's the point. It's not like a bed is easily hidden, right? They claim they check resort rooms more than every 12 months, so why did no one notice trundle beds are gone?

I'm working through that thread, but am on page 7. It's a lot to go through. I've seen pictures of the Murphy beds. But, I don't think there is a picture of every room on there, so maybe some still have a trundle. I wasn't sure and since this book just came out this week, I wrongly assumed the information was updated. Lesson learned!

The information on page one clearly states that all the rooms were refurbished in 2012 with murphy beds in all AB resort rooms.

You'd think with a book that popular that they'd have more accurate info since that refurb was finished last year.

The mattress is larger than crib size, but smaller than twin size. About 5.5' long and about 3' wide.

This. Good for kids about 12 and under, average sized or smaller. The problem with the murphy bed over the trundle bed is that with the trundle on the floor, a bigger or older person could get away with sleeping on it because they would just hang off onto the floor. With the murphy bed being suspended, you can't really do that.
