I wasn't sure where to put this. We have a brick on the pathway outside the T and T center. We bought it when our DD was born. Now we have added a DS and would like to get a brick for him as well. I do realize that they have stopped adding new bricks but I wanted to know if I can pay to have Dd's changed to add DS's birth. Anyone know? If so, where would I call and what would be the cost? I was also interested in having the old brick sent to us. Is this possible? TIA

Yeah I guess it would have to be a new brick.

I noticed when we were there last week that several of the bricks look like they were replaced. Also some were blank. They may have been damaged. I would call and ask.

When a brick is damaged it is replaced with a plain one. They aren't doing anything with the bricks. You can't buy one either.

I have often wondered this as well in an odd sense, especially when you see all of the bricks commemorating weddings. With the divorce rate what it is you have to assume that a fair number of these bricks are no longer the happy rememberences that they once were. I'm curious if any were ever or could be changed or replaced due to that reason.

They said after it was in place 10 year's the contract would be considered complete,so after August this year they can remove ours:( I have asked if we could buy it when it was removed and they said no in a nice way but firm.Well we will still be on the wall at Epcot::yes:: :wave2:

Oh, it will so so sad the first time we go back and our brick is not there... :(

Ours is right off the monorail, in front of the first tree by the kiosk. I think we have a good spot, not walked on quite as much.

Think they're gonna pull them up then soon?

That's where mine is too! I hope they aren't going to rip them up and start selling all over again. Although, I'm sure I'd buy one again so my fiance's name could be added to it. Let's not give them any ideas.

I don't think that WDW has any plans to take up the bricks. They just replace the ones the broken ones with plain ones.

I bought my brick originally in 1994 - with my ex-DH.

I was able to have it replaced in 1999 when my DH and I got married. I think it cost the same price and it was quite the hassle getting it done. This was also just before they stopped selling them though - don't know if it's possible to have one changed now.

Also, on recent trips our brick was looking pretty shabby. It's right near guest relations at MK and gets lots of traffic. Anyway, this last trip it looked absolutely new! We really think they had it re-done. But it not, it was one great cleaning / repair job!

Good luck finding out if you can change yours.

Another divorcee here! Brick cost me $100 when i went on my honeymoon in 1999. After my divorce 7 months later I sure as heck didn't want the awfulness commemorated at the happiest place on EArth! I returned to WDW in June 2000 with my boyfriend and we had the brick changed for $100. 4 years later we are still together and planning a trip for 2005 to visit our brick (may even be a honeymoon). Just go to the kiosk outside the entrance of MK and request a change.

I did not buy a brick at WDW, by my ex-fiance and I had one at the Olympic Park in Atlanta. I wish there was a way to have it removed and destroyed.
I would love a brick at WDW for DH and I. I wonder if they will be selling them again once they pull the old bricks?

for what it is worth, they are still selling bricks at disneyland for the area between disneyland and california adventure...seems to be plenty left in that area...
good luck getting it changed....

Where or who would you contact to have something like this done? I have thought about it too.

I called about one of these last night at the TTC and they've stopped selling them. Darn!
