Yes, you can, although you have to call as you can't make room only payments online.

Actually, I believe it depends on whether the RESERVATION was made online or by phone. Reservations made online through the WDW website have a different reservation number code, and other than initial deposit payment cannot be made in advance for online reservations. If the initial room-only reservation was made by phone, then yes payments can be made towards that reservation but you must call to do the payments as well.

This was true last spring...if they have changed the online reservation system since then it could be incorrect.

Interesting, I wonder why it matters. I booked online, so I guess I'll just buy a bunch of GC's and save them for check in.

I usually pay mine off 1 to 2 months ahead. I wait to make sure I've gotten the best deal, I've been know to change resorts when AP discounts come out.

Althoughn I like to pay it off ahead I have paid the remainder at check-in.

WDW will always accept your money if you prefer to pay in advance!

I booked online and was able to fully pay for my room in advance. I did it in three installments. I had to call to make the payment.
Then the fall discounts came out and I switched resorts and it was $230 ish dollars less. When I checked in they asked if I wanted to spend the credit or have it sent back to the cc. I had it sent back to the cc.
My stay was in October 2012.

I've also made room only reservations online and have been able to pay off the balance in full before arrival.
