Can you pay for merchandise at the EXPO with a Disney Gift Card?

We ran the half marathon in January last year but I do not remember the answer to this question: can we pay for merchandise at the expo with Disney gift cards? We used our american express last year (and cash) but we have gift cards and it would be nice to use them there. Thank you to everyone for a response!

IIRC, you can use Disney gift cards to purchase official event merchandise from the rD areas, but you cannot use them for the general merchandise vendors.

This is correct. New Balance rD shoes also cannot be paid for using Disney gift cards, IIRC.

6.5 is what came to mind. It could be a half percent either way.
