Can you do this? If so can you use Disney Gift Cards purchased at the Disney Store or do you have to buy them online on Disney's Website or at WDW? Thanks.
I'm sure others can verify, but I would think a Disney gift card is a Disney gift card. We used one on our last trip to pay restaurant tips and kids meals for my then 18 month old. We were on the ddp at the time. I think you should be fine unless the card says only for use at Disney stores.

I bring Disney gift cards to use for our tips and extras when dining every year. We always go during free dining, and this way I can still make sure I am budgeted completely for meals before we go. All of our tips have always gone on gift cards, and we have never had a problem!
On our last visit, I paid for all of our food (mostly QS meals, one TS breakfast, and lots of snacks!) using Disney gift cards that I'd bought at Wegmans and Safeway in the months leading up to the trip.
I used Disney gift cards bought at my local grocery store to pay for meals at WDW, and the grocery store gave me extra money off a gasoline purchase to do it. Win-win, sort of.
We don't even use Disney gift cards but Visa, MasterCard and American Express gift cards every time we go to Disney World for all meals and beverage purchases. These are gifts from my husband's business and one of the only reasons we can afford to go as much as we do.
Gift cards are essentially the same as credit cards, only gift cards run out. But you can use them anywhere you can a credit card.
Definitely! Buy at the store, disneyland.com, disneyworld.com, disneygiftcard.com, disneyshopping.com....buy 'em anywhere! As long as it's not one of their online-only e-certificates, of course, but those are hard to buy accidentally without knowing what they are.
Jumping on the band wagon here! Often will buy Disney gift cards ahead of time so I am sort of "pre paying" for certain items. Makes me feel like I am spending less in WDW. Also it is a great way to not worry about having too much cash on you or keeping track of purchases.
