Can you pay for DxDP at check in with a gift card?

Hey all...I couldn't find the answer to this. We are staying AKV this October and I am planning on adding the DxDP which I believe I do at check in. My question is can I use a Disney World gift card to purchase this? TIA!

I was recently told by MS that you can do this. We are purchasing the DDP upon checkin and using our Disney dollars from Visa to pay for it.

Last August we paid for the DDP with gift cards.

Make sure you let them know that you are buying the DDP before hand.

You can't just decide the day you check in though. You must call MS and reserve the dining plan at least 48 hours ahead of check-in.
