Can you pay for dining plan with Disney rewards or Disney gift cards?

It's been a few years since our last trip and I feel like I'm starting all over again. We are hoping to rent points from a friend but we have a bunch of rewards money we have accumulated and would like to use those for everything we can. Thanks!

Yes, but they only accept those payment methods by phone so the owner you rent from will need to call DVC to do it.

I paid with gift cards over the phone. I had about 10 cards so I combined them on the gift card website before calling.

You should also be able to use the DVA (if you have it) to pay for the dining plan. Also, I've added the DP online (without calling in to DVC MS).

Could you be thinking about paying dues online instead? That's been updated to accept Disney Gift Cards (and DVA if you select Disney Gift Card).

Agree you can do that, but I swear I paid for the DP online for a trip last Oct. You are right though, it isn't showing as an option. Assuming nothing has changed, I must have called MS (totally don't remember doing so ).
