Can you pay dues with Disney gift cards?

I’m sure you know but you can use your Disney Rewards and purchase a Disney gift card with them and pay your dues !! Rewards expire but Gift cards don’t !!

Reward dollars expire after 5 years if you leave them in your account. Once you put them on a Rewards Redemption card, they don't expire. This is a change - in the past Redemption cards had expiration dates. Here's the official stuff from the Rewards website:

Do my Disney Rewards Dollars in my account ever expire?
Your Disney Rewards Dollars in your Disney Rewards account will expire five years from the date they are posted to your account. Check your monthly credit card statement for notifications of expiring Disney Rewards Dollars. If you have expiring Disney Rewards Dollars, then transfer them to a Disney Rewards Redemption Card on the Manage My Rewards Dollars page.3 Once you have transferred Rewards Dollars to a Redemption Card, the Rewards Dollars will never expire.

Not sure how many people also follow the budget board, but if you're looking to purchase gift cards to pay your dues, I thought I'd mention that the Chase Freedom & Chase Freedom Flex are having Wholesale clubs as the 5% bonus category Jan-Mar. And if you purchase through the Chase Portal, you get another 1% back, for a total of 6% back on your credit card. BJs usually offers 4% off on Disney Gift Cards, so that gives you 10% back on your dues!

If you have a Sam's Club membership instead, that's 5% back on the card, 2% through the Chase portal, and 4% off the cost of the gift cards, so 11% off total!

I purchased a $500 GC from BJs a couple a weeks ago for $470. It was a special they were running. It's now $480 which still isn't bad. I don't know why I didn't buy more! I applied right to my dues yesterday and paid the remaining in cash.
