Is it possible just show up at Crystal Palace and be seated for lunch? Or do you have to have a PS reservation to get in?

I guess I am also wondering about this for the restaurant in Italy. I guess I just hate being tied down to a specific time, but if I gotta, I gotta....:D

Thanks!

I think it depends on what time of the year you're going. If you're there during an "off" time you could probably walk right up to just about any restaurant for lunch. If it's during peak season, you may have more trouble. We have found that if you go to the restaurants at an odd time, you have a better chance of getting in.

We are going in September, and we don't mind eating at 'odd' times. So I think we will just try it. Maybe make reservations that morning if we decide where we want to go. I have 3 PS reservations that I really want, but after that, I don't want to be locked in.

Thanks! We haven't been to very many Disney restaurants. Mostly counter service ones, but we would love to try some new places!

Well, yes, you can, but if you like to eat at regular "lunch" hours, you may have quite a wait. Personally, we like to err on the side of caution. Stop by guest relations at MK in the morning and see what is available for Crystal Palace that day. That way, you don't have to plan far in advance, but you don't run the risk of either waiting for hours, or being turned away. Off times, like 11 am and 3 pm are good times to try, too!

I would agree with other post. If you are dining off-season or at unusual time then I would certainly chance not making a ps, however, if you really want to eat at this restaurant then I would certainly make a ps, you can always cancel it later.

During our off-season trips and even during busy seasons, we tend to stop by the restaurant or Guest Relations as we enter the park and make a PS for later that day. I've also been known to call WDW-DINE early in the morning to make PSs for later that day or in the early afternoon to make a PS for that evening.
