i have heard loads of people on here talk about the barber shop.

even if you are not getting a haircut - can you just pop into say 'hello' and maybe take a picture?

I popped in during my trip last October, said "Hi" and asked for pixie dust for my hair. It's all very informal.

Sure you can. The Dapper Dan's perform there throughout the day, which would be an excellent time to stop in (although I have never seen a set schedule for them)... the barber shop is open from 9am-5pm everyday. You are more than welcome to just check it out

Yes, his name is Michael. I went there to get my haircut in January and he had at least three people drop in to say hello. If you want to go try it during the parade. You can watch the very end of the parade through the windows. Not sure if they charge for the pixie dust if they do though I wouldn't expect it to be much. There prices are very reasonable.

My younger daughter would love the pixie dust. I think we will have to try and stop by this summer.

Michael is a lot of fun. Both of my boys had their hair cut on our trip in October. Michael also added painted Mickey's to the backs of their heads. He puts them on a little off-centered--said that is his trademark. I also asked him to give my DH a Mickey, which he did--and it was bright pink!!! I thought it was hilarious--DH, not so much!

Be careful getting kids haircuts there though. DS (10) just today agreed to get a regular haircut. (1st one since the trip) He's let me trim since then but because he thinks longer hair is "cool" he kept saying he didn't want it cut until Michael did it again. Yea right! We won't be back until Thanksgiving and DS thinks it won't even be for 2 more years!
