Can You Join The Castaway Club Before You Go On Your First Cruise?

I've read a couple of posts where people have mentioned the "Castaway Club". I know on other cruiselines, you can join ahead of time (like getting miles on the airlines...). Also, can anyone describe all of the benefits of being a member of "Castaway Club"? If I can't join in advance, must I join on the ship, or can I join afterwards (I hate the thought of wasting time signing up for something I can do in advance or after, as your time on a cruise goes by so fast!)?

I don't believe you can. The CC club is for repeat cruisers. I guess you'll just have to book another!!

Sorry, I didn't finish! The benefits are gifts (pins and a towel) on your repeat cruise, a reception with the captain and there is a seperate line for checking in. Unfortunately, that line isn't always shorter!!!

When we went on our 1st Disney cruise we were treated as Castaway Club members - towel, reception, pins. I didnt know they were doing this so we didnt look for the size of the checkin line when 1st arriving.
It was our 1st time onboard, but our 2nd time booking

You don't need to sign up anywhere for the Castaway Club; you are automatically included when you cruise again. I believe there may be a membership card but we have never received this - maybe because we are in the UK?
