Took me a few seconds to remember her name though.

If Laurie feels up to the challenge of drawing another dog, I'd be thrilled to have her draw Spider. He's a bit unusual looking and people are always asking what kind of dog he is. He happens to be a Phantom Poodle with the exact coloring of a Doberman or Rottie (rust and black). He even has the black mask like a racoon! Ever see a Poodle like that???!!!

You have GOT to post a picture of Spider! We have 3 poodles - 2 of them parti-colored but their mix is just white blazes and a couple of white paws - one is mainly black and the other cafe auliet which is hard to find.

We did see one poodle at the Pet Expo a few weekends back that was mainly white with black harlequin type markings! It was a standard too so it was very very striking!

I'll definately work on her to see if she will draw some more DIS dogs. You guys might have to post pictures or PM them to me or something so she has something to go by. Something that gives a good clear picture of their face, especially if they are a type of dog or breed that is unique - like Dalmatians where they all have different spot patterns.

You know, here we are talking about Mabel and Lisa has no idea...lol

MeanLaureen - you did a GREAT job!! It only took 10 minutes of posting time - at this time of night- for the correct "guess". I knew the pic, I couldn't place the name. It is hard for us to believe you didn't think you were good enough anymore!!

You have such great talent, I am in awe! You are not as rusty as you thought you would be!

Wow! she did a great job! I wish I had some artistic talent, but unfortunately I was that kid that would always get a c- in art because the teacher's didn't have the heart to fail a kid in art!

If she ever makes a career out of this talent let us know I would love to have my kids drawn!

Aww, Spider is so cool! I love the markings! I'm afraid to show Lauri his picture because she's going to be hounding me (pun intended ) for a Phantom Poodle now. She always said that she wanted one of each color poodle - what is that, 9 different colors? White, Apricot, Silver, Black, Blue, Chocolate, CafeAuliet, Charcoal/Gray, Red - now throw in Phantoms and the endless Parti mixes ACK! I have to admit - I love them. I would have never thought I would end up owning oodles of Poodles but they are pretty awesome dogs. Not the froo froo girly dogs that some people think they are. The can be tough little dogs and definately athletic and smart!

Rosie is adorable too! What is she a mix of? I love the white eyelashes. Our Tibetan Spaniel has long white lashes like that.

AshJohnson - what kind of dog is Bogart? He looks like a real character - the haircut kind of reminds me of a Muppet He looks like he would be a good friend for our Tibbie, Tinker. They both have that "Okay, lets see what else I can do to get in trouble" look on their face.

Kayla, get me some shots of your pups and I'll pass them on to Lauri - same with anyone else interested.

Just remember that it could be quite a while before Lauri can get around to getting a picture done. She does have quite a bit of pain in her hands at times so it makes it hard. That and she gets so darn critical of herself while drawing that she throws half of the pictures away..lol Plus I made her promise that she would do a drawing of Daddy's Girl - Tinker - next.
