Can you hook up a PS2 to a TV in the villa?

I know it is terrible to think about Playstation while in WDW but my boys
(8 & 12) and my nephew (12) will be staying in the villa with my niece (20) while the parents go out and I was wondering if we could hook up a PS 2 to the TV in the villa while we are out so they don't drive her too crazy! Has anyone done this? Or is there wiring on the TV that doesn't allow it? We are driving so it will be very easy to bring it with us.

Thanks!

I would call maintence/engineering and let them do it.

they generally come up pretty fast - but I would call the day before you will need it - then the kids get to make sure it works properly - because you REALLY need it.

We've had rooms with the RCA inputs right on the front of the TV. They have been used for everything from a Playstation to a camcorder.

I'm sure WDW rooms have many different makes / models of TVs in its units. I bet if you happen to get one without the front inputs you could call maintenance and ask them to swap the TV out for another.

DS12.5 wants to bring his on our 2wk vacation in Aug
I figure it will give him some downtime while I sit at the pool - did tell him though that when we're heading to the parks I dont want a problem.

I am not old enough to say this...but it is a sad commentary on today's youth that a video game box could be more interesting than going to an amumusment park.

I don't think you'd need maintenance. There should be ports on the front of your tv (the 'ol red, yellow, white) that you should be able to hook the PS/2 up to. You'll just have to cycle through the TV Input settings to find out which one is right for those ports.

I hooked my camcorder up to one of the new sets in BCV and had no problem whatsoever. The PS/2 shouldn't be any harder than a camcorder.

I've posted this before............

We stayed in studios at VWL and the ports are in the back of the TV.

The studio at SSR, the ports are in the front.

We didnt have problem hooking up either with just the standard cords.

I will add that my DS's were 5 and 7 this past December when we took ours and it was more difficult to get them out of the room. Also studios only have one TV so they tied it up with video games.

It was Christmas and I was glad to have it because the weather was bad, but we will not take it on summer trips. I will miss not having DVD in the studio, but I realized by taking the PS2, I was taking part of the "real world" into our vacation refuge and they have plenty time for that at home.

We brought our DVD player to VWL. I had to reach around the back to feel for the plug-ins. It took one or two plug switch arounds, but I got it working just fine. I believe the MB TV had no plug-ins, front or back. As others have mentioned, plugs are in the front at BCV.
