I'm *very* new to this... planning a surprise trip to WDW for DH's 25th Birthday in October.

We don't have a lot of time and I could use some input!

Here's my preliminary plan.

Thursday p.m. - arrive, check-in, spend evening at Downtown Disney
Friday a.m. - Animal Kingdom
Friday p.m. - Epcot
Saturday a.m. - Epcot
Saturday p.m. MGM
Sunday all day Magic Kingdom (extra evening hours)

None of the other extra magic hours really benefit us for these dates.

We plan to eat lunches and dinners in the parks (except dinner at Downtown Disney on Thursday) and I would love to hear some suggestions...especially some that won't break the bank!

Also... we're going to hit all of the big thrill rides. What else should we make sure we see? I don't want to miss anything important! We won't be back for years.

TIA! :yay:

Looks to me as if you have it pretty well. Hit pleasure island at downtown disney but be careful if you drink. With only three days you don't want to waste one if you are hung over. Two full days at Epcot and MK sound good and half days at AK and MGM are also good if you are only hitting the big rides. If you like the characters you may want to schedule a character meal which are cool. Keep looking around and other ideas will pop up for you. Have a great time.

October will be F&W in Epcot, and they may have some things that are in your budget to do associated with that. I remember something about a Sunday brunch featuring chocolate, and I'm looking for something like that this year. There are Eat to the Beat concerts (included in Epcot's admission) so wait until the schedule comes out before finalizing your plans.

If you are looking for fast food in the Magic Kingdom.... Pecos Bill's has pretty good burgers and Casey's Corner has pretty good hotdogs. Dole Whips are relatively close to both and make a good dessert.

That looks like a great (although busy) plan. I would suggest arriving early about 15-30 min. before park opening and then dashing to the biggest attractions first thing. Then use Fast Passes throughout the day to your advantage to navigate the parks once the rides have over 20 minute lines.

As far as food, everything is pretty pricy at WDW. At Magic Kingdom, we usually eat at Cosmic Ray's for lunch. They have a chicken and ribs combo that's plenty to share. We usually get Flametree BBQ at Animal Kingdom and enjoy the many counter service options at Epcot.

Before your trip, read and learn as much as you can and you will have a great trip. Have fun!!! :cool1:

:sad2: Well, if you want to rush around in the parks and not be able to fully enjoy them, I think your schedule is fine! :thumbsup2 But three days to visit all 4 parks?!? When my family and I go, we go for a week and go to each park (except MGM) for a whole day. Your Magic Kingdom plan is fine but you're going to want to spend more time at Epcot! I mean, World Showcase takes half a day itself to walk through and that includes stopping at each country, and learning a little about each. Then there's Future World with many buildings you'll want to go and spend some time in! Now for MGM your on your own because we only go there for a few things: Playhouse Disney, Rock n Rollercoaster, and Pizza Planet. If you are interested in all the shows, HAVE FUN! :) Animal Kingdom of course closes early so that's a half day. In the evening you can go shopping, out to dinner, or even go to your hotel and enjoy the pool! :sunny:

What we do for the rest of the week:
We go to Downtown Disney, Outlet Malls, Waterparks, Sea World/Universal.

My advice would be to go to the parks that you are visiting in the morning as soon as the gates open so you can get in, see and do what you want, then head off to the next park!

However you choose to set up your schedule is YOUR choice! Don't listen to me unless you understand where I'm getting what I said from! ;) I'm sure which ever way you choose, you and your family will make the best of it!

Best Wishes on your trip! :cheer2:

I think that you have a very very busy schedule. I am exhausted just looking at it lol. Overall though dont plan on seeing everything because you never will. Make sure to get to the parks as early as possible so you can enjoy the least amount of crowds and hit all the rides that you want. Good luck!
