Can you help me get my head round this one?

I am an annual passholder in the UK. We are travelling to WDW from 16 December to 1 January. Have been quoted £2112.00 for duration at AKL on Disney.go UK which is a great price, presumably because we arrive during value season. Once booked no discounts can apply to the Disney UK site bookings for some reason so I will give up any passholder discounts that may be released.

Disney US site quotes $4103.52 for same 16 nights which is around $500 dollars up on the UK site price (don't ask me why!). :confused3

Do I book with TA and go with the US $price just in case discount is released? If I do presumably discount will only be for the first part of the vacation and once we hit Christmas to New Year and possible black out dates, the rate at AKL jumps to $507.33 per night rather than $256 value rate. Would I be right to assume that no discount in the first week is going to equate to the $250 per night increase for the second week. :confused3

I hope I am making sense, but my heads a bit in a whirl now and I am hoping that someone with more than the 12 months experience of being an Annual Passholder will point me in the right direction!!

I keep coming back to the guaranteed UK rate which works out to around $224.40 a night for the duration of stay.

Thanks

From what I can see, the rate that the UK site has given you is rack rate for a standard view room.

It works out to 132 pounds per night, which by XE.com's currency converter works out to $228 per night.

I just entered your dates online at the US site and got a quote of $3657.28, which works out to about 2109 pounds. I don't know your party breakdown - but it would be more if your kids are over 17. I also don't know if you were looking for a standard, pool, or savannah view.

It'll cost you an international call, but I would try calling 407-WDISNEY, and see if they can get you the lower rate.
