Can you help? - First timer

First time staying at a disney reosrt - booked thru AAA - 2 preferred rooms (4 adults and a 6yr old) Is there one building better than another? Any ideas on how to get two rooms next to each other and without a parking lot view or is it all the same? Booked All Star Movies

If you have already booked a preferred location, then you should be in the best located buildings, sorry I can't remember which ones at AS Movies, except Toy Story. The Mighty Ducks (which aren't preferred) are closer to the AS Music main building/food court/main pool. Preferred locations have you closer to all the amenities; food court, main pool, bus stops, main building. If you want let them know you would like connecting rooms, but they aren't guaranteed. HTH!!

If reservations are already made I would call the resort and tell them what you prefer. They will try to make it happen. If you have already booked a preferred room then you will most likely not get a parking lot view and be in the best building. In All star and pop century resorts that means closer to the food court/bus stops. It is definitely worth the extra $10 per night to have the closer rooms - especially after a long day in the park and all you want to do is crash.

Never be afraid to tell the cm's what you want or prefer. It may not always happen but they will usually bend over backwards to make it so. The more time you give them to do so the better your chances.

I stayed at the Calypso building ($79.00)when they frist opened. A short walk to the food court, we did not take the bus but now that is a preffered room.....I don't know about the connecting rooms, I just needed one. Good luck on no matter what you do and have a FUNtastic trip.

I'm staying at ASMo this december , also preferred, there are 3 areas that are preferred, Fantasia, 101 Dalmations and Toy Story, because they are the closest to the food court. I put my request in, the CM said they would try to make it happen. Last year we stayed at Pop, preferred, and part of Magical Gatherings , with 3 rooms, I wasn't real impressed with where they put us, 60's building top floor looking at the back of 50's building, but we did have 2 rooms that connected, so that was cool . But anyway all I wanted to say was call and give them your request and they will try to fulfill them .
