hi all! we will be going on a family trip me, dh, and my 2 boys (almost 7 and 2 1/2)

we will be down there for 10 days late nov/early dec!

im wanting to know the can't be missed places or your favorites! any ideas would help! :)

thanks

so far we have

crystal palace
cinderall castle
chef mickeys
epcot japanese steakhouse

One of the guys I work with just came back with his two newly adopted granddaughters. They are 5 and 7.

They absolutely loved Chef Mickey's, especially since they were staying at CR. And they loved the Garden Grill with Chip and Dale (Epcot). And the Primetime 50's Cafe (HS) and Whispering Canyon as well.

Out of all of those, Whispering Canyon was their favorite (it is in the WL).

Also, they did the hoop-de-doo review on the last night they were there. princess:

My boys really like the Ohana breakfast at the Poly with Lilo and Stitch. I see you already have Crystal Palace, we like that one too.

my main two are always HHDR and spirit of aloha (is that what you're doing?)

I also heard mickeys backyard is awesome!

I would definitely suggest the dino restaurant where the kids make theirown dinosaur?

And another awesome place I would always suggest is Crystal palace for breakfast! Its amazing-- i hear chef mickeys is awesome too...

does anyone know what the name of the "dino" restaurant is?

yes...we will be on the dining plan...and we like almost all food :)

We have been three times now and my DS was 5 the first time and turned 11 the most recent trip. He joins me with naming Boma as his favourite but chose Crystal Palace for being the most special feeling to celebrate his birthday this year. He also loves HDDR and Cinderella's Castle.

Another good option depending on your food tastes is Biergarten in EPCOT. Both children loved the sausages etc for the food, found it wonderful that their soft drinks were served in the same glasses as Dad's beer and enjoyed the German band.

Also, another vote for Ohana's breakfast and Whispering Canyon for dinner.

Have a great trip.

The dinosaur restaurant is called T-Rex Restaurant, and its located in Downtown Disney. They have a Build-a-Dino workshop there also, if your interested in that. Its the same idea (and owned by) build-a-bear workshop. We're trying it in 13 days :) The boys are pretty excited about it.

biergarten in epcot- buffet has wide range of choices, entertainment
whispering canyon- boss's family's favorite with kids, entertainment

i'd pass on rain forest cafe- too much stimulation!!! and coral seas- too slow, not as exciting as it sounds to be near aquarium, but good kids plates.

Even though you noted that you have boys you have to try 1900 Park Fare in the GF.Its buffet style and one of the best ones (our opinion).Dinner is with Cinderella and Prince Charming, but you can do breakfast with a bunch of different characters...Pooh,Piglet,Chip and Dale......:upsidedow

We really loved Sci-fi this past February, great time! Good burgers! My daughters have loved CRT (lunch last year, dinner the year before). Funny thing is though, my very favorite, can't miss eatery in the entire WDW is a CS place, Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

Sci Fi, I know alot of people put it down I don't know why. I'm a huge burger fan and they have the best in Disney, DH really liked the ribs. Atmosphere is great, you sit in a car type booth and you're at the drive in. They play trailers of old sci fi movies and the concession ads, it's great.
Tuskar House for breakfast, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Mickey in safari gear and they have some different offering along with standard bacon and eggs. Really good.
Crystal Palace for breakfast is really good.
Whispering Canyon is great, especially breakfast.
Love the Rain Forest Cafe', they have a thunderstorm in the building every 20 minutes.
Spirit of Aloha, food is O.K. but the show is awesome. The desert is way cool. Don't want to spoil it for you.
Hope this helps.

Our family likes Tusker House Breakfast buffet, Boma Breakfast buffet, Crystal Palace lunch, Chefs de France, and Jiko. We all love Narcoosee's and Citricos. My son loves Hollywood and vine (he loves the Little Einstein and they have a song/dance ever 20 mins and musical parade...your younger son might have a blast at this place and I think your 7 will enjoy here too) and he loves Chef Mickey and loves Tusker House character interaction.

How fun!

We have traveled with DD13, DD10 and our niece and nephew (6 and 4) and our favorites are:
'Ohana for breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.
'Ohana for dinner--the coconut races, singing and games are fun for the kids and the food is delicious and served quickly, if you want, which is sometimes good for hungry little ones.
Biergarten--lots of choices and a really fun band. If your kids like to dance, this is a lot of fun.
Garden Grill--the restaurant rotates and there's Mickey, Chip 'n Dale and Pluto.
California Grill (really!)--our "fancy" dinner, the kids liked seeing the fireworks from the roof.

Next time we're definitely going to CRT as well...I've read here that the food is awesome and it's another great place to see the fireworks. Even if my kids are 15 and 12, we're going, it's MOM's choice!

We just got back and we did all dinners for our table service. My daughter is a very social and very active 2.5 year old. We did O'Hana's (which my daughter loved with all the games, dancing, and songs...she didn't want to leave), Chef Mickey's (which she adored), and Akershus (for the princesses...and hubby's fav meal...we had the pork chop and it was sooooo yummy!). We also did Boma (great food especially if you like trying new and different things), Narcoossee's for our anniversary (good food but not sure if we'd do the signature dining next time), and Teppen Edo (yummy!!). Hope this helps!

Chef Mickey's breakfast was by far our favorite!!!!

We also love Le Cellier for dinner, food was just so great. You would have top get the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup and the Chocolate "Moose"...sooooooo yummmmy!
