Can you have a real Honeymoon before a fake wedding? The Hero and his Princess return!

We have made some decisions about our trip, and boy are we excited!

On our first trip we ran at an almost break neck pace. We were park open to park close almost everyday! Throw in the wedding, and by the end of the week we were all ready to drop! I love touring this way, but it can be a bit much, and didn't leave us much time for "us".

Not this time! We are going to smell the roses, and stroll hand in hand through the parks.

While some may find our slowly forming tour plan slow moving, and non-all inclusive.

Ok, now some dining talk

We start this trip with 54 credits that can be used for table service or counter service. We also have 32 snack credits!

We are thinking for our first MK day we will do

Breakfast : Cinderella's Royal Table (4 credits) We have never been here.. any thoughts for us?

Lunch : Snacks (4 snack credits) I think something from the bakery, and something sweet will be just right

Dinner : Tony's (2 credits)

We are not so sure on Tony's though. There have been some really lack-luster reviews! We might switch that out for dinner at Chef Mickey. We could just hop on the Monorail.....

I think CRT depends on how you feel about the food choices. I am a really picky eater and thought the food was not worth the money you pay (though in your case since you have so many credits it may not seem like much). My husband, who isn't picky didn't like the food either. Neither of us even ate a plate of food so for something like $94 it wasn't worth it. Also, the princesses didn't spend much time with us. It was a quick hi, take a picture, move on... because we didn't have any kids. The family at the next table over noticed it too and even complained to the character handler. I didn't find it worth the money at all and would probably only do it again if I had a daughter that was really wanting to do something like that (and even then, it would probably not be both adults as that would be a waste).

ETA: I have heard great things about CMs though and when we stayed at the contemporary it seemed like a good time. We had breakfast ressies there but the cast member who took them messed up and put the wrong date in the computer even after I asked her like 3 times if she had such and such date and time :(

We have done Chef Mickey, but only for breakfast......

Thank you for the honest info on CRT. I want to eat their someday, but maybe this isn't the right trip for it!

Here is what allears has listed for their breakfast menu choices...

Scrambled eggs
Sausage
Bacon
Potatoes
French toast
Peach yogurt
Granola
Fresh fruit
Scrambled eggs
Pastries
French toast sticks (for younger Guests)

We didn't get pretty much any of that. I think I had a scoop of eggs and some random blueberry pastry thing. Possibly fruit. But nothing that made me feel like $90 was a good idea. Maybe they have changed their menu or maybe our waitress just sucked lol She was pretty grumpy that day.

P.S. I always forget to say I am following along and end up jumping right in and responding to something... so I'm here! I am following your other TR too and LOVE it!!

:lmao:
Glad you followed me over!

Maybe we will wait on this one. Might be a good idea to leave something special like this for another trip....

Happy Anniversary. It is hard to believe that it has been a year since our trip to Walt Disney World and we got to see your wedding. I just looked at all of your wedding pictures. I even found the picture of me and the bride. Glad to hear you are planning another trip. We are going to Shades of Green next week for a day. We were to supposed to go see my aunt in Florida but she was going to WDW that day. So we are going to spend the day at EPCOT with her. We said last year that we would think about you every time we are at Shades of Green, so I guess we will be thinking about you next week. Best wishes on your lives together.

Connie

Thanks Connie! I am going to update here soon, we have some plans really coming together!

Oh my! I didn't know that could happen. But it sounds like something that would ahppen to me.

Ok, now a real live update!!!!! Husband now has a copy of the master spread sheet (that I keep saving) and is tucked into bed dreaming of Mickey :cloud9: (He is 9.5 hours ahead of me)

In booking our flights, I lucked out, and we will be arriving earlier than we originally planed. We should be arriving in Florida in the mid afternoon, because of this I have set a reservation for us at Liberty Tree Tavern. We ate here on our last trip, when they were doing work on Crystal Palace, so we got to see the characters. Josh loved the food, and the feel (we are both into history) So we decided to book again, even though there won't be characters this time.

Our reservation is set for 7:35, so that we can be done in time to watch the parade, or do a few rides while waiting for Wishes!
I didn't think we would get to watch Wishes until the second full day of our trip, but with our luck with booking flights, we will get to watch on our first night there!!!

So recap : Fly in, check in, head to MK for dinner and fireworks :cool1:

That's great! I read your January TR and thoroughly enjoyed it so am looking forward to reading this one :)

I was looking for one of the other PTR that keep up with and saw the title of your and had to check it out. Anyway that was the long way of saying I'm in.

An explanation of the change of title.

The Army has decided that the date that we set for our wedding was such a great day that they will require us to be somewhere!

Soooo we will now being having our real honeymoon, before our fake wedding, but after the fake honeymoon, and real wedding.

Everyone following along? :lmao:

So, for our first full day in the parks, we are going to be going with Animal Kingdom!!!

Here is a very fun photo of us at Animal Kingdom on our last trip! ( I think posts need photos to be fun!)

Animal Kingdom will be offering AM extra magic hours, so the plan is to get there at 8, jump right on the Safari, grab a fast pass for another trip through later in the day, then head to breakfast!
We have a 9:20 reservation at Tusker House! This was one of the highlights of the trip last year for Josh.
We really wanted to try new places this year, and are, alot, but this was one of the ones that needed to be done again!

Oh, just as an aside I should mention that I love breakfast food. Like LOVE it. I could eat breakfast all day everyday, and that would be ok. Especially tater tots. Tater tots are my favorite food :lmao:

Here is breakfast food and tatertots (again I think that long posts need photos)

So my hope is that after the breakfast we can book it over and make the 11 or 12 o'clock Lion King, and maybe catch a meet and greet with Thumper and his lady love! Last trip, we saw them, but the line was too long!

Random girl with the bunnies I wanted to meet (I was kind and blurred her)

IMG_0538-1.jpg

In the perfect world, there will be no lines, and we can go through Camp Minnie Mickey and visit everyone in their safari clothes, but I am going to bet not.
I figure we will go take a little train ride to the conservation station, and meet some friends there. Not to mention I CAN PET A GOAT if we go there.
I am an expert goat petter. That right there is a true fact. I have many many photos of me petting goats. Some in Maine, some in Florida, some in Texas. If I am somewhere, and there is a goat petting opportunity, I am on it.

So..... thoughts?

ANIMAL KINGDOM. It is so fun there!
And oh my gosh, tator tots, yum! I love them too.
Hopefully everything will work according to plan.
