just wondering for guests that are not staying at a disney hotel - when the characters do meet and greets in the lobby can non hotel guests go to the meet and greet as well?

or is that plain cheeky?

thanks,

xjx

I don't see any reason why they would know that you are not staying at the hotel. They are in the main lobby so it is pretty easy to go in.

I seem to recall that this cheeky person, parked at the HNY most days of their trip, and went in to meet whichever characters were there!! :teeth:

It isn't a problem - enjoy!! :goodvibes

Can't see how they would not that you are not a guest. The meet n greets when we were last there were always fairly quiet so you would get a better chance of getting close to the characters. They do not stay out for long though - maybe 15 minutes.

As well as Sequoia, Newport Bay Club and Cheyenne :teeth:

I can't imagine how they would know you are not a hotel guest, unless you are carrying a coffee cup from another hotel.

thanks guys because i like to take a picture of the characters when they are wearing different clothes.

do any of the characters wear different clothes at the hotels than their usual mickey in his red pants and minnie in her red dress?

At HNY they just wore there normal clothes however I think they may coyboy outfits at hotel cheyene.

We had Mickey and Minnie at Cheyenne last year in Western gear! was so cool!

I don't think you should have a problem sneaking into one of the hotels for a photo, they don't check hotel ID or anything. Good Luck! :thumbsup2

everybody can go to the hotel lobby and meet the characters. We do this all the time... Great interactive with the Characters and no long queues. And of course a lof of fun...

:thumbsup2

thank guys.

do you guys know roughly what times the characters come out in the hotels?

usually in the morning during breakfast hours.. they swap on different day and at intervals. The best thing to would be to pop in to the hotel in the evening and check out the notice board as they give the times for the next day. Also they have characters in the evening however not at the photo location. usually they are dancing in the lobby and afterward they sign autographs..Its not organised into queues like in the morning however as most people are still in the parks it is very quiet. I think they are there to entertain people checking in.

I don't know..I would say DLH or HNY as they are not as busy as other hotels and also nearer to the park. I've only ever been to HNY and there has never been a long wait for a picture.

hey wideeyes - do the characters wear their normal clothes at the HNY?

At DLH they come out at 4pm every day in the lobby. They come down the central staircase together - but first they make an appearance at the top balcony of the staircase and wave at everyone. They play the 'Dancin a Cathchy Rhthym' song and dance with the children in the lobby area before signing books and posing for photos. We found the interraction here SO much better than in the park.

We had Pluto, Donald, Mickey, Minnie at the NPB the only character with an outfit was Goofy and very smart he looked too in a Navy Blue/Gold trim Captain's outfit. :)

Yes..They all had on their normal clothes.

DLH characters also had normal clothes. In 3 days we saw - Pluto (he came every day and was so cheeky), Mickey, Belle, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, Eeyore, Gideon and a couple of others that I forget!

well this is another reason i am going back, we stayed at the cheyenne and the characters were always in cowboy theme at around 9-10.30, we saw minnie, mickey, pluto and the bears from country bear in the afternoon just wandering around, now if i had known about the dlp at 4pm i would have gone, sounds to good to miss, another well kept secret.
