Can you go in "the Castle" if you aren't eating there?

I was wondering if there is anything to see inside Cinderella's Castle besides the restaurant? Is it possible to look around if you are not eating there?

The only accessible area inside the castle is the restaurant. There are several "castmember only" areas that are off limits to guests.

If you ask at the podium they might let you go in and take a look at the restaurant.

ever since I was a kid I loved the armor and swords shop

Its a must for any young boy.

I've never heard of the armor and swords shop. Is it upstairs in the castle? My son would love it too!

If you enter from Fantasyland it's on the right. Dining entrance is on the left. It matters little though. It's the only shop in the hallway. There are neat mosaics on the walls.

There is a waiting room right inside the door. The restaurant is actually upstairs. Cinderella, and the fairy godmother sometimes are in there to have pictures taken. While I was waiting for lunch, several non-eaters came in and had their pictures taken with Cinderella and left. Whether this is normal or not, no one seemed to mind. The waiting room is kinda neat. If you look up around the room, you'll find the mice from Cinderella. If you want to go in, just ask at the restaurant door and see if Cinderella is in there.
