Can you get married off property, then go *on* property for pictures?

Just wondering, as whenever the next time I get married ( ), I'd like to get married in an actual church, then go to either MK or the GF pavillion for pictures. Can this actually be done, or do you have to physically be married on Disney property before you can have the professional photos done?

Thanks :)

I don't have any advice. Was just wondering if there's something you're not telling us yet??:teeth:
Enjoy being single for awhile. Ruuuuuun. :p J/K

I'm not sure about just pictures, but I know you can have a reception only. Then you'd be able to take pictures I assume because you are actually having an event on property. I know you can also have engagement type photos done at the resorts but I'm not sure about in your wedding attire.

We are having our VR at WDW Swan and when I called about having the MK photos I was told that we could have our pics done in our wedding attire, but only if it was booked through Disney, and only before the parks open and that it would cost I believe $725. But I was also told that if we had our reception at one of the WDW resort restaurants, we could wear our attire to the resort for pics, just not the parks. And if we wanted a dessert party, we could not go in our wedding attire unless we were getting married through FTW. Hope you can make out my ramblings.

Usually, if you are not a Disney Bride, they do not allow you to have the MK session done in your wedding attire. I know they have been trying to make arrangements for Swan/Dolphin brides so they can do this as well. You would think that as long as Disney gets $ that they would let anybody do it, right?

However, you may get photos done in any of the parks with out your wedding attire.
Or You may choose to have the resort Photos done. Here you will be able to go to the Grand Floridian, (or any resort) and have a session done with a Disney photographer. This would last for about 2 hours. It is $425. (2004 pricing). You get a 12 print portfolio with this package plus I think you get all your proofs as well.
Actually I think any photographer would be able to take your pictures at the Disney resorts, just only Disney photographers are allowed in the Parks.

Does that all make sence? I hope that helps a bit.

LOL...ohhh no. Not getting married anytime soon:) I was just wondering :)

Okay, I think I'm confused!! Believe me it doesn't take much!!
Does anybody know if an outside photographer will be allowed to photograph my husband and I around the grounds of the GF?
We will be guests of the resort, but not doing our vow renewal at WDW. Too pricey for us:( Our renewal will be done on The Mariner a couple of days later. But I was wondering if we could use the GF as a backdrop for our more formal pictures. The photos taken around the cruise ship won't hold much sentiment for us. We will use those photos for all the family shots, as my parents and sisters will be joining us on the cruise.
Do you think anyone at GF or a wedding planner would know?
Thanks,
Kerri

Kerri,
You certainly can use an outside photographer to take pics of you and your husband at the GF.

You can have a Disney photographer do it as well.

Merandab4,
Hi, thanks for your reply. But I spoke with both Disney Photography and Randy Chapman and neither would be willing to photgraph us in our wedding attire on GF grounds if we are not having a Disney vow renewal.
Disney suggested not wearing our wedding attire and they would gladly photograph us...I don't think so. They won't get a penny now for that service. I will ask a fellow Resort guest to snap a few for us. Any Dis'ers @ GF on April 15...let me know!!!
I could understand Disney's view if we were not staying on Disney property and having our dinner at V & A's.
Can you imagine every Central Florida bride using the grounds and castle backdrop like it was a public park??!!
And I understand Randy Chapman's hesitation also..Disney barely tolerates outside vendors as it is. He does not want to jeopardize the relationship.
So....now we are faced with finding an alternative location. Randy has suggested Lew Gardens or Kraft Azalea Gardens.
We are considering Azalea Gardens...since it's essentially free.
Lew Gardens charges $175.00 for 1 hour.
We need to make a decision soon.
Kerri
