Just wondering if Hojo will give a discount (either DISboard rate or entertainment rate) after you have already booked rooms with them?

Dis we have to book the discounted rate at the time of booking or will they just discount at check in/check out?

Yes they will but you need to call IN HOUSE reservations (M-F, business hours) and ask them to change the rate. You can not wait until check-in.

If you have booked through a travel agent are you still able to call up and change the rate?

That's a good question, and probably the only one who can tell you is your TA.

But my thoughts are...to get the special ent rate and the disboards rate etc, you have to call the hotel directly and speak with In House reservations. I have always had the impression that TAs have special phone numbers that they call, or websites they go onto, to get reservations for people. Therefore, I wouldn't think they would be calling In House at the specific Anaheim hotel, calling the 714 number during pacific time business hours and talking with Jennifer or Lorealle, etc.

So just my thoughts would be that it's unlikely, but you're definitely going to have to talk to your TA specifically.

For those without packages and without TAs, YES, HoJo will lower your rate after you've booked it, so you want to check out the Ent Rate thread on the hojoanaheim.com discussion boards often, to see if they add your dates. Twice now I've given up on the entertainment rate, booked elsewhere, then had it show up very VERY late in the game. Actually, three times, b/c for the ladies trip in March, the rate was put up on the website on the DAY we checked in! Now, no one knew, so no one talked to them about it, and we did have to have a couple conversations (I say "we" but it wasn't ME at all who did it) with them to have them refund us down to the entertainment rate, but they DID do it, b/c they put the dates up on that day and we just didn't know until we got home (could see the date it was edited, and saw that our dates were new). The first time it happened I had booked Carousel through Orbitz, which had a 5-day-out cancellation policy, and I only noticed 4 days out from my trip that the rate had been put up for my date. :headache: So once you are inside a no-cancellations period, DON'T LOOK anymore. :)

Thanks for your replies. If you wish to cancel your booking do they charge a fee at all? Not wanting to cancel but curious as to what would happen if we had to.
