Can you get an AAA rate and pay for DDP?

Sorry for another AAA question. Somebody in the know should write an AAA FAQ.

I know you can't do a package with an AAA rate if you book through WDW, but if you book through AAA, can you get the AAA discount and pay for the DDP? I'm thinking on a shorter trip with two or three character meals and two kinds under 9, it might be worth it to pay oop for the ddp.

We just booked through AAA so that we could get the AAA rate for our room and we did the package to include our QS dp and our park tickets.

Thank you. One more question - do you have the same flexibilty with adding or reducing days (assuming they're available) with AAA as you do with a WDW room only reservation?

I did not ask - but I would guess so because we can still make changes to our reservations. For example - our TA told me that if WDW comes out with a promotion that is what we currently have booked or better and it is cheaper she will switch it over for us, so if they can do that imo why couldn't they add or remove a day? It was nice being able to go through AAA to still get the room discount, but still be able to do the dp. I saved almost $400 going through AAA.
