can you get a 1 day park hopper for a 3 day disney ticket

we have a 3 day ticket package, and only really need park hopper on one day to get to see the electric parade and wishes on the 1st night we are there. can we buy just one day park hopper?

No. When you add "hopping" to your ticket, it is for ALL the days.

that is what I was told by a CM, but I just wanted to make sure it was true
