Can you fax room requests when staying DVC?

This will be our first DVC stay. Last year when we stayed at Pop Century, we faxed a room request to the hotel and got a perfect room. It was nice and quiet (away from the pools) so DS (who is 2) could nap during the afternoon.
I was just wondering if we could do the same when we stay at DVC resorts. Thanks for any advice.

(BTW, we do have requests on our reservation, but I thought that faxing might also help)

Sorry DVC resorts do not accept fax requests. Everything must go through Member Services.

DVC doesn't accept faxes, and even at the non-DVC resorts, faxes are kind of pointless if you have your requests on your reservation. The requests on your reservation are right there for the room controller to see, and if the room location you want is available, they'll give it to you. If it's not available, a fax isn't going to help.

I've had several CMs tell me that faxes go straight to the trash.
