WDW become an exclusive resort for only those with reservations/staying on property, and at WDW-hotels/homes, ie Swan &Dolphin, etc? I can see it coming, probably not in my lifetime. Does anyone on this board have any idea of what the average daily/seasonal occupancy rate of WDW is? If it became exclusive, I bet occupancy rate would be 100%, or more, all year long. I foresee an increase in the number of resorts/beds, enough to fill the parks and DTD. This way WDW basically has it all, most notably the bottom line. I suspect WDW has considered this, whether or not they've actually decided to do it. That info is not available to us mere mortals.

It will never be exclusive, but I was given a survey by a cast member about seasonal pricing on admission tickets.

WDW parks/water parks/DTD/etc becoming exclusive to only those staying onsite at that time - never happen.
OP, do you think Disney is going to have all those guests staying offsite going to SW, BG, IoA/US, and all the other locations without an option to come to WDW? That would be like cutting off your face to shave.
There are many more hotel rooms/condos/houses for rent in the Orlando area right now than can fit inside of WDW. Disney will always permit those people staying offsite to have the option of coming and spending time/day/monies at their parks.
Also, what about those with AP? The locals that only go to the parks for the day.

Disney has about 25,000 hotel rooms on property. Capacity at all parks is probably somewhere around 350,000 people.

So, until they build another 75,000 hotel rooms without adding any park capacity, I think the parks will remain open to the general public.

Glad for the responses, but always never underestimate WDW's primary purpose, ie profits. Why share your product with others; get all, well most all, the visitors to eat, sleep, and play at WDW. It's hard to believe 350,000 visitors a day. Even so, if you build it they will come.

350,000 is estimated maximum capacity, not visitors per day.
