Can you enter Epcot through the International Gateway for an early tour

I know this is probably a stupid question but the CM I talked to has me second guessing myself
For my trip in September I will be staying at the Beach Club Villas. I just booked the Undiscovered Future World tour and I need to be at Guest Services near Spaceship Earth by 8:45 am on a non EMH morning.
Will I be able to walk through the International Gateway to get to the tour? I am sure that people enter early to get to Norway for the Character Breakfast, surely those of us staying at the Epcot resorts do not have to find alternative transportation for early morning activities.
When I booked the tour the CM I spoke to said that "they" are getting more strict with letting people in the International Gateway prior to 9:00 and she suggested that I take a cab over to the Future World Entrance. :confused3

Yes, you can get through that entrance for tours and we've done it half a dozen times. We DID notice however, the last two years they really have been strict...checking their list to see if our names are on it. One time they couldn't find our name so they had to call somewhere to verify we were on the tour.
Just go early enough so you can have time if there are any minor issues at the gate.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks I figured they'd check names, I usually take my confirmation numbers when I go for the character breakfasts so I will do the same for the tour.
I'll make sure I give myself plenty of time, in case I run into any problems.
