Hi I just wondered if you're allowed to eat in a hotel restaurant even if you are not staying there? Like if we stay at Cheyenne, can we eat at Inventions or California Grill?
Thanks

Also at Cafe Mickey, is a character meal compulsory or can you eat there without them if that makes sense?

You can eat in any of the hotels without staying there. There is times in Cafe Mickey when the characters are not out but I am not sure when. Someone will know:thumbsup2

If you don't want the characters to come 'bother' you ;) you can mention it discreetly to your host or server. I have had issues in past as Chip seemed to have a crush on me for about a year. A quiet word and his handlers kept him away from my table.

Most of the time the characters will sense and respect if you don't want to interact, but sometimes they do like to tease. It got a little annoying having a long conversation at the reception about internet service, with Pluto trying to interupt every few minutes (I know that he was being dog-like, but at that moment I was being business-like! :) )

:lmao:
oh i was just thinking in terms of, if you eat there, is it the case that you might as well have the character meal, or will you still get to see the characters without booking a character meal, or is that what cafe mickey is all about-the character interaction??
am i making sense??
i think i've read a bit too much and may have just confused myself lol!
I CANT WAIT TO GO!!!!:woohoo:  pirate: :bride: princess:

OH! so YOU don't have a character with a crush on you???? :goodvibes

I don't really know if there is an opt-in or opt-out option there - isn't it all or nothing? ie you book and eat, and the characters come out most of the time....

or did I miss something? now you have me confused!!!

Cafe Mickey is used for Character meals. You don't have to book to see the characters as they are there at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Personally I would not eat there if there was no characters as there are better non character dining options

oh i see, i think lol, well i think i will go there just for cinderellas slipper that i saw in another thread, and i'd rather have it there than at cendrillon cos the theming seems better for the kids, or was the slipper at walts? getting myself confused again.

:rotfl:

i knew i'd confused myself, only walts and cendrillon, hmm so may have to just 'pop in' for dessert at some point as i think the kids would like the character meal, do you have to reserve it when you book on the phone or do you HAVE to call the reservation number?
