This might be a silly question but I was wondering if you need to have an entrance ticket to the park to eat in the resorts. We are arriving in Anaheim in the evening and I thought it might be fun to go to one of the hotels for a character meal but we don't want to use one of our park hopper tickets until the next day.

i think its ok....not positive, but pretty sure, i dont see why they wouldnt let you, thats like denying you to give them money. sounds silly @_@

Resturants in the parks need admission tickets. Resturants in the Resort Hotel's do not.

you can go to any disney hotel and downtown disney without a ticket............the tickets are for the parks, not the whole resort.

The only restraunt which allows you to enter the park and eat without paying for a park ticket is CLUB 33, in which you have to be a member.

There are several good restaurants at Downtown Disney. No admission ticket required.

Actually, when you eat at Club 33 you pick up a "complementary" admission ticket at Will Call. The cost of admission to the park is included in the charge of Club 33.

You can have dinner at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel without park admission. That is the only character meal available for dinner (other than Ariel's Grotto, but you need park admission for that one) It would make a GREAT start to your Disneyland vacation!

Hmmm I didn't realize they were doing will call tickets for Club 33 members to get in. I guess i misunderstood the information about membership. For the record I am not a member, but have read a ton of info on Club 33 when we were considering.

I think that's what we'll do. It'll enable us to start the magic earlier!

They have been doing Will Call tickets for as long as I can remember. These are for guests though, not sure about members. Members who gain admission to DL via their Club 33 membership must eat at the club or they are billed for the cost of admission.

Yep, that's what I remembered. Guests need will call tickets. And yes you are right if you're a member you get in but you have to eat at the Club. That's what I thought I read. Thanks for the reply.
