Can you double book cash nights at two different DVC resorts?

I am sure it is morally wrong to do this. Can I book the same two nights on discounted DVC cash nights in Nov. until my 7 month window opens up?? I am currently booked on cash Friday/Sat. Nov. 21st 22nd and then on points for 5 nights at SSR our home resort. I want to try for OKW instead though and I have to wait til end of April to try and book on points...and I am worried discounted cash nights won't be available 6 weeks from now. SO can I book those same nights at OKW NOW.... if I already have them booked at SSR??? I would cancel one of them the end of April. PLEASE DON'T REPLY WITH FLAMING RESPONSES . I truly want to know if this is DVC LEGAL? We are new to DVC and I don't know if this is practice of others?? Thanks.

I'm not sure if you can do that or not.

I seem to remember reading that cash ressies can be made in the name of the member ONLY, so you might have trouble getting two in your name for the same night.

The member has to stay in that room and unless you are a Gemini, you wouldn't be able to do that.

Couldn't a member book one in her spouse's name and the other in his/her name? Of course I am assuming that a couple owns the membership together.

OP - Seriously, there's really no need to book cash nights at SSR now. Just book the cash nights at OKW (if you can get them). SSR virtually always has cash nights available - can't imagine you would have a problem getting them at 7 months if your OKW plans do not work out.

Well I have them booked at SSR but apparently I can't book OKW and SSR at the same time so I have to decided to wait til 7 month window. I would hate to cancel cash at SSR where I also have points nights too and get it at OKW, then wait til 7 month window to switch points to OKW and find out there is no availability and then the cash nights are also gone at SSR.
