Can you do this with admission tickets and Fastpass+

Hello All,

My wife and I are traveling next month and already have tickets for MVMCP on 12/8. We don't have other admission tickets but would like to book Fastpass+ for some attractions. Even though the party doesn't start until 7pm, they will let you in at 4pm. However, we can't book any Fastpass+ reservations because we don't have another normal, non-event admission media. If we were to purchase a regular admission ticket for use at a later date, would we be able to book some Fastpass+ reservations to use from 4pm to 7pm even though we haven't used the normal admission media / ticket and instead be using our MVMCP admission media?

Has anyone ever done something like this?

You can book FP+ using your MVMCP tickets. Make sure the party tickets are linked to your MDE account. Then you can book FP+ for 4:00-7:00pm. If you want to get 3 FP+ in though, your first fastpass will have to be for a time that starts before 4:00 because the last FP available on a party night is 5:30-6:30. So you can book 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30, and 5:30-6:30. I just did this two nights ago and had no problems.

You should be able to book FP+ with your MVMCP ticket between 4-7.

Have you tried to book FP with your party tickets linked to your account and couldn't, or are you just assuming you can't? Historically, you can book FP ending by 6:30 pm on a party night having only that admission on your account.

But to answer your question, no I don't think that would work. At least not the way it sounds like you'd want it to. I'm pretty sure doing that would mess up using the regular ticket in the future.

If you read the entire thread, the OP in that thread determined that the issue was with a problem she had with MDE and she ended up with a duplicate MDE account.

I did read the entire thread thanks, including the part where someone else said their party only ticket fast passes were cancelled, (not to mention the OP who says he can't make fast passes on the party only ticket), and the part where the OP thinks it was all a glitch and is sorted out but isn't certain.

Time will tell...

Be careful doing that. If you enter even a minute before 4 it will pull your regular day ticket as well as your party ticket. It happened to my fiance and friend at the Wine and Dine after party. They told us to link the tickets to MDE so they could book fast passes between 7 and 9. Well come to find out the guys went in at 3:55 or something like that and thought the system just goofed and let them in. Come to find out the next day that it had taken their regular day ticket and the party ticket! Thankfully MK Guest Relations saw it and fixed it quickly but I imagine they won't always be that accommodating, especially if it is months between trips.

If they were making a change everyone would be getting a notice of cancelled FP, or at least more than 1

Thanks everyone. There must have been an issue before when I tried. It wouldn't let me book any Fastpass+ options and said I needed to purchase a ticket in order to book them. This was even though I already had the two MVMCP tickets in MDE and had them assigned. Today it let me book what I wanted. Sorry everyone, I didn't think to try again after I couldn't do it a few weeks ago.
