Can you do all the "Halloween stuff" in one day?

We were thinking about scheduling a trip Sept. 10-14, but now that it's been announced that Halloween Time starts Sept. 15, I'm thinking about shifting our dates to Sept. 11-15 because although Halloween Time wasn't a major priority for our family originally, I hate the idea of missing it by just one day! We've never been to the parks during Halloween Time.

My question is: Is one day enough to do all the "Halloween stuff"? You know, the things that we will not have been able to do on the earlier days of our trip... ride the rides that have holiday overlays, meet the villains or other special characters (or are they only out during the parties??), take pictures with the special decorations, etc. Any advice or ideas are appreciated! Thanks!!

I'd say yes. There will be a total of four rides (two in each park), plus at least the giant Mickey pumpkin head to take a photo with and some new stuff over at DCA.

Most of the special villains just come out for the parties, but they do "up" the regular villain appearances during the day, so you may be able to catch some that you haven't seen yet that week.

(To clarify, most of the decorations will creep up over the week, but they usually keep the Mickey pumpkin head until the "official" open. Not sure about the timing for the new stuff in DCA.)

If you have the flexibility make the change.
I'm sure you'll enjoy the parks in full Halloween mode on September 15th

As mentioned, yes, I think if you concentrate on just the Halloween things, you can probably get it all done in one day. There will be four attractions with overlays (the two in DL use FP, so that should help). You can check out the decorations as you walk around the parks. The biggest unknown (to me) is the character meet and greets. The characters in Town Square wear Halloween costumes during the day (and then change to different costumes for MHP), plus there will be the Carsland characters now, and I don't know how easy it would be to see/meet every character in a single day. They rotate, so you'll have to get the timing right. I don't recall seeing that many villains in the parks during normal hours (I've seen Cruella, the Evil Queen, etc.), but they don't change their look for HalloweenTime (so you can see them earlier in the trip if they're out).

Oh, good call on the Carsland characters... that is a big unknown.

When you look at all the detail, there is quite a bit of decorations usually. Pumpkins on the front gate posts above the gates, scattered around DCA, special treats, i seem to remeber food items last year, maybe a pizza? etc. but yeah can do it in one day. Though I could spend half the day on Haunted Mansion, love the ride and outside the mansion at that time.

Now that you mention food...that I don't think you could do in one day. Last year, there were lots of special Halloween treats...from snacks to TS location entrees. There were too many things to try in a single day! This Parks Blog post listed the items from 2016 and there were dozens of things to try.

I wouldn't mind trying. :p

Geeez! I had no idea they had that many treats and foods to try. Only had 2 or 3(bite of kids treat). My daughter would have loved that Sally cake! Hope they have again this year!

I would make the change, you might not see "everything" but you will see a lot more Halloween on the 15th than the 14th
