Has anyone had their reception at the Grand? Or Ariel's? Anyone had their reception at the parks? Is there a buyout fee even if the park is closed?

we had our reception at ariels in march it was so pretty & worked great for our theme & families.

as for the castle breezeway you can dance there if you have your wedding at the castle which has a cost of $50000+. castle weddings take place before & after park hours.

I am going crazy! We want to have the ceremony at the WP and then a nice reception and then the dessert party at Epcot but we are trying to make it not so all over the place. Any ideas? I am having a hard time getting in touch with a planner since we are 18 months out. The have not called back at all. What was your menu? (If you dont mind me asking)

i think the mimimum for magic kingdom weddings is actually $500,000!!!!

Unfortunately I was not born into the Trump family so I guess that is out!!!LOL
Anyone else have any ideas as to a good location for reception if the ceremony is at WP and dessert party at Epcot? We can add extra hours on the dessert party right?

we loved ariels. we had our ceremony at the yacht club gazebo, prereception at marthas vineyard, reception at ariels, had a private boat to epcot & had our dessert party at uk lower. it was an amazing day you can read more details on my trip report: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1209040 (im getting to the wedding part now) we were a custom wedding.

here's our menu:

we had some custom items for our meal. the food was phenomenal & our families still rave about the day. ariels is under water themed with the large aquarium as you enter & near the dance floor. there are 2 table areas the upper & lower area with the china cabinet. there are some mermaid themed paintings & blown glass fish chandaliers.

You could have your reception in EPCOT. Depending on the timing, you could use the Living Seas VIP Lounge or the American Adventure Rotunda. Or even have your entire reception out on the Italy Isola.

We had our reception at the American Adventure at the World showcase in Epcot.
(ideal for less than 40 guests). It was wonderful. At 9pm we went outside to a viewing area to watch the fireworks and then carried on until about 11pm.
We booked extra time thinking we might be there until 1am, and paid $200 per hour, but we were so tired we all went back to the hotel at 11.
A theme park location is great. The magic Kingdom would have been first choice but sadly I am not that flush. Epcot is brilliant, as you can have the fireworks too!
