Can you choose your car from Alamo at the Dolphin Resort?

Hi,

We decided to take ME from the airport to the Beach Club and then back again instead of renting from the airport. Then I am going to walk over to the Dolphin the morning of our second day and get our rental from there. We would be returning it there as well.

I have never rented from the Dolphin before and was wondering if you can choose your car or if they choose it for you. We always prefer to choose our own.

At the WDW Dolphin Resort, you can't pick from a row of parked cars. There's nothing like National's Emerald Aisle or Executive Aisle for National or the equivalent for Alamo.

You go to the National/Alamo counter tucked off the lobby. You can ask the counter agent what choices you have. You'll get an answer such as, "Right now, I can offer you a Chevy Impala, a Chrysler 200, or a Ford Escape." An hour later, the choices could be completely different.

I've rented from National at the Dolphin a number of times. I've always been given new, clean, well-appointed cars. (It probably helps that I'm at National's Emerald Executive level.)

Just so you have more than one response [because Horace is exactly correct] , when I rented from Alamo/National at Dolphin a few years ago, they just brought the car around to the front of the porte-cochere and I got in the vehicle from there. I don't even remember if they told me what they had; I think I just went outside and was surprised. Like Horace, I am an Emerald Aisle member, [but not executive] as well as an Alamo Insider. Great, easy service, though - I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

we rent at the dolphin national/alamo at least twice a year.
the people that work there are fantastic , and usually offer a few different cars (they always go above and beyond - we try to bring them some goodies on our last day ).

walk over the bridge to the dolphin, and go up the escalators.
go to the N/A counter off the dolphin lobby (around the curve, on your right), where they'll give you the keys.
exit to the front of the resort, turn to your right, and give the keys to the person behind the valet window.
a valet will bring the car.
upon drop off, simply drive up, give keys to valet who checks fuel & for damage, and take your recepit.
