I'm trying to figure out how much cash to carry. At Disney, of course, you can charge almost anything to your key. I'm particularly interested in knowing if you can room charge the Citywalk restaurants. Also, what about shops and counter service in the parks?

Tomorrow is the day!!

You can charge to room key at most if not all sit down restaurants, and counter service restaurants and at all shops in the parks, citywalk or hotels.

When you check in you can have charge privelidges on specific cards so young ones do not have a charge card in case it gets lost. If card gets lost they cancel it and issue new one.

Have fun, you might want to bring rain gear. Thunderstorms in Central Florida every day.

When you check in, they will offer you different levels of charging privileges. At RPR, we always choose the lowest amount of $100 per day. I can't remember now what the other amounts are. We normally don't carry alot of cash, but do carry enough for some drinks or maybe ice cream. Some of the small vendor carts in the parks only take cash. All counter service will take your key to charge to. We have always been told that you can charge to your room at all restaurants and stores in USF, IOA and at Citywalk. We have never had any problem doing so. Your key can sometimes help you get a table quicker at the restaurants too.

Have fun!!!!!

Excellent! That's what I wanted to hear.

I'm disappointed with the forecast. It looks like a lot of rain. We have had lots of storms here in Texas so I guess it will be alot of the same. :(

My daughter is is WDW this week and said there has been really severe lightning storms/drenching rains every night around 7 pm or so. She said they're the kind of rains you don't even want to run from place to place in. That's about 3 hours later than the "usual" afternoon thundershowers we experienced at US last July.....hope it doesn't keep up like that.
