Can you Change reservation from Saratoga to Aulani?

My mom has Saratoga points and I have Aulani points. We both want to book a 2 bedroom for next June but her window is 7 months while mine is 11. Is there any advantage to booking a week at Saratoga at 11 months then change it to Aulani at 7 months?

She could transfer her points to you and you book the # of days you can at 11 months with your Aulani points and then book some more days at 7 months with the transferred SSR points. You might want to carefully select which days...for example, if I were to do this at HHI (where I own), I'd book weeknights at 11 months and then grab the weekend before or after at 7 months (weekends at HHI don't book up as fast as weeknights)...not sure how Aulani is.

No, the SSR reservation would have to be cancelled and rebooked under Aulani. No advantage.

To change from one resort to another at 7 months out always requires canceling the first reservation and then booking the second so there is no advantage toward getting the second resort by booking the first. Be aware June is a high demand month for Aulani and thus if that is the resort you want, your best chance is to reserve what you can with the Aulani points at 11 months out and then try to add nights at 7. You really have no need in that situation to book SSR at 11 months out to assure you can get SSR if Aulani does not work out. SSR (all room categories) was open at 7 months out and even well beyond 7 months out for all of June in 2012 and 2013.
