Can you cash traveler's checks/get cash on board?

When we go into Mexico a lot of the vendors want cash. I don't want to carry that much cash on a trip. Can I cash travelers checks at guest services or get cash out against my shipboard account?

You can cash travellers checks at guest services. We did this several times on our cruise.

I'm not sure about getting cash out of your shipboard account...but you can cash travlers checks at guest services.

Thanks everybody. I just didn't want to carry that much "cash" around especially since I won't be going directly to the ship from home. Knowing that I can cash Traveler's checks is enough.
