Okay wise people... I have a friend that needs help. She would love to get her hands on some packaged tea that they have. She wants a tin of the Gardenview blend and the Princess Blend.

Is this possible or is she out of luck?
If it is, how much do they charge?

Grand Californian has a tea room?!?! I had no idea. I need to find out about this before Sept!

Sorry I didn't answer your question, but I LOVE to go to tea and had no idea I could do it there.

Hi Nancy -

You can buy the tea (or at least we did last June) - don't remember how much it was but thought it was reasonable at the time. I wonder if WDW merchandise would be able to tell you - 407-363-6200?

Good luck!

And yes, Daneenm, they have a lovely tea room - Julie did a review with her sis not long ago - I highly recommend

Daneen -

I'm a typing dork. I meant Grand Floridian. We DL lovers can't get the old GCH out of our heads!!!! :lmao:

I'll fix my subject header and thanks, girlfriend, for the quick response!!!!!

Ahhh, I feel much better. I knew about the one at the GF but thought I was missing a treasure at DLR.

You can also purchase it from the podium during the hours tea is being served. My wife stops by and purchases tea for her whole family on almost every trip.

If you have never done tea I would put it on the must do list. For many of our guests, the highlight of our wedding was the tea my wife hosted for all the ladies (all the guys went fishing instead).

So what is the name (brand) of tea? We overheard our Artist Point server telling another guest last Friday night that "THEY" chose Disney to distribute their teas and they don't sell in any stores. Only from Disney merchandising and through their website. Don't know how true that is, or not. AND I didn't overhear the darn name!

Disney is now also selling tea products and supplies throughout the world. They have a Mad Hatter blend and one other. They are loose, fresh teas. There's even a set with several other types (bagged teas though) and teapots, etc. You can find them at The Emporium and World of Disney.

My daughter and I went last summer. It was fabulous. Not crowded, lovely food, and the best tea I ever had.

OOps, sorry, thought you meant Grand Floridian. I misread!

I believe the Garden View Blend can only be purchased at the podium at the Tea Room. That's where I purchased mine. There isn't a brand name on the box. It's a plain black tin with a label that says "Garden View Blend". I've had it for years, it's a HUGE tin and sealed very tight the tea is still fresh. I don't remember the price. The Garden View Tea is a loose leaf tea.

In the Sandy Cove gift shop at the GF they also sell packaged teas in a decorative tin. I picked up a breakfast blend with Alice on the tin last June. It was discounted to $3. :thumbsup2

I've looked in the Tea shop in the UK Pavillion in Epcot, they do NOT carry any GF Teas. :sad2:

If WDW merchandise can't help you, I would suggest calling the GF directly.

Hi there,

My friend worked at a tea store called "T" and she said they sold Disney their tea that's served at the Grand Floridian. Unfortunately she couldn't even get some when she worked there, let alone anyone else. But looking at their selection, they might have something similar that is named something else?
You can reach at www and then tealeaves and the dot com at the end. :)

The tea bags that are in the canisters are from "Boston Tea" and I am assuming it is the same for the loose leaf.

Here is a picture of the tea I bought on my last trip. I'll be there a week from tomorrow, if anyone wants current information. Having tea at the Grand Floridian is a wonderful experience, bringing the tea home helps recreate that feeling.

Tammy - I would love the current info! Not sure whether I can convince DH and DS to go with me...maybe I'll go on my own while they do Tom Sawyer Island...:lmao:
