Can you buy Disney Gift cards with Disney Rewards points?

I transferred almost $500 to our Rewards card last October in preparation for a trip in November we didn't end up taking. The card itself expires at the end of this year. We are PLANNING on a trip in November, but in case it doesn't happen, can I purchase gift cards from Disney.com with the rewards points or am I going to lose them?

I've never actually tried, but DisneyGiftCard.com is listed as a place where you can redeem Disney Reward Points, so it looks like it's possible.

Could you use your card to purchase Disney gift cards at your local Disney Store? We transfer our reward points onto Disney gift cards at the ticket booths (because the gift cards have no expiration date). Since you can't get to the parks to do this, maybe the Disney Store would work.

I'm not sure the process, but YES, you can add your points from a Reward card to a Gift Card.

Everytime I put points on a Reward card, they remind me that they will eventually expire and to transfer them to a Gift Card if I don't plan to use them in time...

Yes, you can at DisneyStore.com. DisneyGiftCard.com you can too, but it'll send you to DisneyStore.com.

At checkout on the payment page, Disney Reward Redemption card is one of the option to use for payment. You also must include a credit card number for backup in case your reward card cannot be processed or if there isn't sufficient funds on the reward card.
