Can you buy an individual LL for the hours before MNSSHP without park ticket that day?

Just clicked on the option in MDE on homepage of IPhone. Wanted Tiana’s but it wasn’t available, so I kept refreshing until it was available. Grabbed Tiana’s, HM and PotC between 4-6pm. After getting these I regretted not trying at 7am at the 7 day mark for my stay for better options.

So to clarify - you are going to stay at a WDW resort and the ONLY time you are entering a park is to go to the party?

This is correct. DVC member staying at AKL-Jambo. We only have party tickets for one night.

This is great news although we'll wait to see if others report the same as this loophole was closed in Jan 2024 and you are the first to be able to purchase with only a party ticket.

It might be a new bug that was introduced in Version 8.2 and 8.2.1 that were released quickly (9/18 & 9/20) of MDE. It was confirmed earlier in the year that Genie+ closed the loop hole (January 2024). We also saw in August that the loophole was not working for the first few MSSHP parties.

Right I think your ability to make any LLMP and/or LLSP with a party ticket was introduce in the 8.2 / 8.2.1 cycle.

I would doubt that it has anything to do with DAS.

Party ticket access went away in January. The DAS changes were in May and Disney just extended their DAS validity period to 240 days last week with no mention of this change. However guests that had the earlier 120 day validity period were not grandfathered in and needed to reapply to get the new 240 windows.

For now I vote it is a bug introduced in 1 of the 2 recent updates to MDE. We await @TikiRob 's update after Friday's MNSSHP.

I'll check it out soon as well. I can book in around a week for our trip starting October 14th. Some of our group has 3 park ticket days and 1 event ticket. I'll see if it lets me make 3 or 4 days of LLMP for all of us

Confirmed! Purchased MPLL with only party tickets and used them tonight at Tiana’s, HM, and PotC! We did those three and Country Bears and got some food all in the two hours before the park closed. Really helped us kick off the evening right. Hope others can pull this off!

What I suprise I was right all along, another year of posters telling people they cannot get LL or fast passes for parties when you actually can.

At the end of the day I think Disney's IT is just no that smart to do things like differentiate between tickets while in the parks to stop you getting LL's

To be fair, I don’t think it is wise to allow people. The average guest could be disappointed to only get three passes and won’t understand they need to get them for just the two hours of the pre-party. It was worth it for us to knock out Tiana’s with family who never rode. I’m glad it worked out.

Just to clarify for others, yes @TikiRob was able to purchase LLMP with only a party ticket but, they are also the only person who has reported successfully being able to do this. Many more have reported being denied.

The best suggestion is to try but until more people report a change, it's best to go in anticipating it could go either way.

If a guest has other park tickets eligible to go to a park the same day as their party, they will be allowed to purchase LLMP as the website has no way of knowing their intent is only to go to the party, not another park.

We are waiting for additional documented cases of this potential change before stating Disney has changed their policy.

If the ONLY ticket you have in your MDE is a party ticket (no other tickets or APs at all) and, you attempt to purchase LLMP with that ticket, we would appreciate you sharing your experience here as we try to find our what the current eligibility is. Thanks.

I just selected our LLMP reservations for our trip starting 10/14. Mixed group of annual passholders and family who have 3 normal park tickets and 1 MNSSHP ticket.

Here is what I found:

• It let me make the 3 normal park day LLMP reservations as expected using the regular tickets.
• Then it did let me book a 4th day using the MNSSHP ticket as a valid ticket to purchase an additional LLMP. (We booked Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Tiana's. The Haunted mansion reservation technically expires just before we will be able to get into the park, but with the grace period I hope they will still let us in a bit late. I really just wanted to make sure we got a Tiana's time or I wasn't going to actually book it, just test it) Now we have 4 LLMP days using 3 normal tickets and 1 MNSSHP ticket.
• Then as a test, I tried to see if it would let me book a 5th day to see if it was seeing the MNSSHP as a ticket for booking or if was just letting me book any number of dates during our on-site stay. It would only let me select the annual passholders and the rest of the group said there were no valid ticketed days remaining.

So from my tests it seems the system IS currently allowing LLMP to be booked using a party ticket as the valid park ticket for the day.

Oh I so hope this change isn’t a bug in the system! I would really love to save time and book at least a LLSP for Tron to do before the party starts on our December trip!

Checking back in. We did the Halloween party tonight. The multipasses worked great and we did Tiana's, haunted mansion, pirates, and were able to also grab one for big thunder mountain. Did all 4 in around 1 hour and 15 minutes. They didn't give us any trouble for only checking in with party tickets.

Only minor problem we had was one person's pass didn't redeem on the first ride. It went green and we were all let on but the app didn't mark a single group member's as used. I had to have a cast member mark it as redeemed and then they added a pass for big thunder mountain to match the other members. All in all it worked pretty great and they seem to be allowing it now!
