I don't have an AP at the moment, but could buy one. I don't know the best way to proceed though - do I need to order one, wait for it to arrive (could take 10 days) and then try and book the rooms? Is it quite likely they will be gone by then. Can I buy one at the same time I book the room?

I've read on the boards, that if you call between 2 - 5pm you can do both at the same time??
Anybody know this for sure?
Do you want me to check any dates for you, I have an AP?

if you don't mind - I am interested in Feb 20 - Mar 6th at pop century (or any all star), I think you have to do 2 reservations as it's over 10 days. I don't think it makes any difference where you split it as it's all the same season.

Hi Bev! I too am trying to work out if buying an AP and then booking onsite would be a good thing to do. It is all so complex. I already have the AAA rate. I would be interested in what you decide. The quote brought the rate down to around the £80 pn for POFQ, but of course would have to buy AP $400+. Mind you that is fairly balanced out as we would have been getting a 7 day hopper at £150, plus other occ discounts. For the value resorts of course there should be a better saving. Hope you get what you want. It's giving me a headache!

I tried to do this yesterday, and they said no (in fact, this CM gave me a big guilty speech about how the BRP was a perk for people who have APs already, not a room discount...) I tried again today, and the CM told me what was available, and I booked 2 rooms at AKL from Jan 25-Feb 1 for $109 per night. Woohoo! After she gave me my confirmation, she helped me to buy my pass. It was well worth the $420 for the pass, especially because I got 2 rooms. Be persistant, and you may find someone who will do it for you. I was very clear and said I didn't want to risk buying the pass, and find nothing available.
Good Luck!

Hi, sorry it took so long. I did 2 seperate res. Feb 20-28 Pop $820.64 and Feb 28-Mar 6 $535.20. Total $1355.84. Hope this helps.
You can purchase Disney Dining Experience with an AP for $50. It gives you 20% of your meals AND all bev. at most restaurants

Thank you for taking the time to do this for me. Still not sure what to do, but having all the info available certainly makes it easier to reach a decision.
