Can you bring/wear Disney pins on planes or in carryons?

I feel uncomfortable checking all my kids' pins that they're bringing to show and trade. But I wanted to make sure that if they bring them with them on the plane (probably in their backpacks) that they won't get confiscated due to the large number of sharp points!

Thanks!

It won't be a problem. They may ask you about them and your bag may be looked at a little closer but there won't be any problems.

In FL I am sure they see them all the time. We never had a problem with all the pins.

Just to second what Safetymom said ...

Pin collectors and traders keep their pins in their carry-ons all the time and I've never heard of anyone having their pins confiscated. Just be prepared for your carry-ons to be very thoroughly searched, and you could even let the TSA agents know before hand that you have a number of collectible lapel pins and volunteer the bag to be hand-searched.

Of course, it's been a while since I've flown, but DW Lauri flew to Orlando last summer for a pin event and didn't have any problems. You could also post this question on the Collectors Board -- I'm sure the pin collectors there will have plenty of advice.
