Well my Dis family, can you believe that it's been 8 weeks since my Matt left? Most of you know that this isn't my first deployment but I think that this one is almost harder because now I really know what I'm missing. I know that I'm missing waking up beside him, holding his hand when walking around the mall, and of course with the holidays and our annv coming he is missing those as well. I didn't really know what it was like to be a married couple until he came home last year and we got to spend some of it together.
In the past 8 weeks, we have lost 15 soliders from the division. This isn't a great start to the deployment that is for sure. I'm also leading our Family Readiness Group and now working with care teams, which is so emotional and hard to do. We think that Matt may come home in April or May for R&R but of course nothing is cemented until he is here. Oh, and I think he is reenlisting for 4 more years. Gotta love the army life
Thank you for your continued support of us and all the prayers. Please continue to do so. It's all very much appreciated.

He'll be home before you know it

It's true, Tina. It's what I do best - just lie in the ditch and wait for one of you to run me over.......
