Can you add days to Universal tickets?

Is it possible to add days to Universal tickets once they are purchased? I'm planning to get one-day tickets and use the other day of our stay to relax and visit the pools. But if the weather is poor, I could see us wanting a second day.

If I can easily add a second day once on-site, I'll get the tickets in advance, but if I can't, I'm more likely to wait at least until we see a weather forecast for that week.

Finally, if one *can* add an extra day on to the ticket, does it matter whether the ticket was purchased from Universal or from a discount site like Undercover Tourist?

You can, but only while that ticket is "live". Just like at Disney. So a one-day ticket can only be upgraded on that day while it would still work to get you into a park.

Doesn't matter where it was purchased from, but know that you will lose whatever discount you might have gotten on it. It's like DisneyLAND in that, unlike Disneyworld's price-bridging process.
