I know you can add people to your Free Dining Bounceback reservation...anyone had any luck adding an additional room to their FD BB...weeks later?

We booked one room for Sept 2009 FD Bounceback while we were there. Now DS & friend are interested in going with. There's no way I'd try to have the 4 of us in the same POP Century room for a week (love DS dearly, his friend is o.k..but no one would survive a week together:scared1: ...there's not enough magic in all of WDW for that!:rotfl: )

Do they ever let you add a room (with Free Dining) to your one room reservation?

If not, any other suggestions (affordable...we're not up for these 2 bedroom villas at $$$$ a night. The whole point of the Free Dining is making a very affordable vacation!)

TIA

I tried to do this but no luck. I was the only adult in the room so I was only able to book one room using the BB. If you had another Adult in the room when you booked the bounce back you could possibly use the other adult as the lead on the second room ressie and you in the other. Then do some room switching when you are there. They were going to let me add a second room until they realized I was the only legal adult on the BB trip. We ended up switching to a 2 bedroom villa at SSR so that we could add some people and still use the FD offer.
I would check out SSR. If you have the BB offer they have a room discount also only at SSR and OKW. A one bedroom villa may be all the room the four of you need.

well, maybe they will let me do it...there were 2 legal adults in the room when we booked bounceback (and I'm sure they all-knowing Dis computer has that info, too.:rotfl: )

Good Luck!!! Just remember that the BB offer is only valid for booking until the 24th of October. I cannot see them allowing room additions after this. Modifications yes but extra rooms I doubt.
If they will not let you add another room, A 1 bedroom villa at SSR or OKW should be around 305.00 a night with taxes with the built in BB discount. 2 rooms at pop century are going to be 230-263 a night with taxes so I realize it is a little more but you do have the full kitchen and laundry machines right in your unit. Also your rooms at Pop might be no where near each other. Rooms at pop are 260sft each. 1 bdrm villa 714sft plus balcony or patio.

Thanks for the heads-up on the 10/24 deadline...I forgot all about that.

I'm gonna try for a 2nd room at Pop...two rooms at Pop would only be about $185 (during value season, the rack rate on standard Pop room is only $82...and there's 12.5% tax on Pop Century rooms.)

Would love to know if you were able to get the two rooms at Pop. You said the rooms were only 82 each + taxes but when I was looking this morning rooms during value season were 102 standard and 121 preferred for each room plus taxes. Which is why I suggested the 1 bdrm villa. But if the rooms are only 82 each then I really hope that you were able to get that extra room!!

My daughter tried to do this last year and couldn't. The offer was made again in the spring and then she did so.

If you plug in September 2009 for Pop Century, standard room is $82. October 2009, the same room is $99. End of August & September are the lowest of the Value season rates. They go up for October; probably because of Food & Wine at Epcot, and more people interested in going to Halloween party at MK.

Don't think I'm going to be able to get the extra room...I did the on-line chat with a cast member (on the Disneyworld website) and their response was "probably not" and to call Reservations direct to discuss details on what modifications are possible for a bounceback reservation. So I'll call them tomorrow...my guess is "modifications allowed" will involve major upgrades & major $$$. My experience in the past is that Mickey is always helpful when it involves many more $$$. My DH always says we can't go home until the Mouse gets our last Dollar:rotfl:

I'll keep ya posted as to how this comes out. I suspect I'll just be kicking myself for not having just reserved 2 while I was there...DOH! It would have been easy to cancel a room later if we had no takers for it. Probably have to call in April like PP's daughter did when they offer the Visa or Gen Public promotion...if they do.

It is possible since you had two people to begin with. I did it last week as my son wanted to go . I just put it in my husband name nothing question.

O.K., so here's what finally happened. We were there over Labor Day week this year & booked one room bounceback free dining for 9/20-9/26/2009.

Then Disney came out with the Birthday celebration...and I found out my 28 year old son would love to go back to Disneyworld, but can't really afford it. (Last time he was there was on his last "family" vacation with us just after high school graduation-so has been 10 years.) He's a great kid, moved out at age 19 and has never moved back in (which makes him a rarity!) He has never "screwed" up and come begging for hand-outs, if ya know what I mean. Always paid his bills, found jobs on a timely basis, etc. So I would really, really like to take him to Disneyworld with us. And I would really, really like to go over my birthday (which is Labor Day weekend.)

so, I called yesterday to see if we could add a room to our bounceback, and also to see if we could possibly change the dates on the reservation so we could be there for my birthday. I expected a "no" answer on both...have read that several people have been turned down on adding an extra room, and figured all the Pop FD rooms would be gone for Labor Day weekend (I know they were gone early for last year's promotion.)

The answer on adding a room was no:sad2: BUT the answer was YES on changing to Labor Day weekend so we're there for my birthday:cheer2:

And, CM suggested we just add son & son's friend to our reservation so they'd be on for Free Dining. So I did:dance3: But there's no way we'd want to actually crowd all 4 of us into the tiny Pop Century rooms, so...

Then I called my AAA agent, and was able to book a discounted room-only
for that week, even on the holiday weekend...so son & friend will have their own room to sleep in!:thumbsup2

It will cost me about $70 more this way than if I'd been able to book 2 rooms with Free Dining in the first place (the extra-adult surcharge on our room will be $140 for the week, but AAA savings on the extra room-only ressie is about $65, so net extra cost booking this way is about $10 a day. I'm looking at it as costing us $5 each per day for son & friend's dining...not quite "free" but way cheaper than the $40 per day normal cost.)

And it's still coming out to only about $2500 for 2 Pop Century standard rooms for 7 nights, 7 day park-hoppers for 4 adults, and Free Dining for 4 adults, which I think is a marvelous price for a week-long Disney vacation!:yay: :yay:
