Can we use the DDP before room is ready?

We arrive at WDW at around lunchtime. If our room is not ready until 4pm would there be any way of us being able to use our DDP for lunch that day whilst we are waiting for our room be available to check in?

Yes, you will be given your KTTW card at check in time. This is your room key, park tickets, AND dining plan card (can also be used to charge things to the room if you have that option turned on). Even if your room is not ready, you will get the card when you check in.

Yes- we do it every time. We check-in, head to the foodcourt for lunch, and walk around the resort untill our room is ready.
