DH and I are visiting Cocoa Beach in April for a week and have decided to visit WDW on 2 different days...we have APs and DVC and have always stayed on site and benefitted from those perks...
Obviously things will be different in April and I wanted to have some realistic conversations on what we think we will be able to actually do...and how the process works for staying off-site.
My plan was to go to MK 1 day (and ride Tron) and HS/Epcot the next visit and do Star Wars and Rat and I'm willing to buy Genie+ and spend $$ on LL+ rides ..but I've been thinking and I don't think riding Tron @ MK will be realistic..
We've never been in the parks right when a ride was released and when we did visit I was able to easily pay our way onto a ride since we stayed on site and could get that ride at 7am but staying off-site I'm restricted to buying that when the park opens, right?
How do you think the ability to ride Tron when it opens? Will there even be a chance for us to ride if since we're off-site?
I'm thinking that maybe we should just visit AK and perhaps do a special tour like visiting the Rhinos and at Epcot do Behind the Seeds....
and even though I'm super stoked about riding Tron, my DH is not as thrilled...we went on GOTG in October and he thought he was going to die and rode the entire ride with his eyes closed - in his defense he gets motion sick on virtual rides and I wanted to be surprised on the ride so I did NO background research on what the ride was actually like - which brings me to the fact he still thinks I tried to kill him that day by tricking him onto that ride...
However, I'm glad to report that he did not die that day, nor did he get motion sick but he has vowed to never ever ride it again..and is weary about Tron..
So..anyone have any thoughts on our probability of riding Tron or do I just wait and save it for another trip when we're on-site?
